Galveston June 08

Here are some surf fishing pics from our Galveston trip. The small fish are sand trout, I think.
Jake hooked this redfish and had a real fight on his hands. I can't believe it didn't break the 8 lb-test line on his Zebco.
After dark the ghost crabs come out on the beach. Jake had a blast catching them and had a jar full in about 30 minutes. Most of them are about 2-3 inches across, and they are VERY fast.

Galveston June 08

Here are some pics from our trip to Galveston back in June. We stayed at our favorite hotel, The Galvez, and met up with Carol's brother Don and his boys Danny and Jared. We also spent a night with our friends Hardy and Jeri Meredith at their beach house. Pier fishing - I think that was a baby great white!

Cardinals T Ball

Jake is having a great time playing t ball this year. We're about half way through the season and the whole team is showing lots of improvement. We have "won" our last 3 games. (They don't officially keep score in t ball.) Jake usually plays first base or short stop. Here are some pics from the last 2 games.

Hog Hunt

Here are some pics from Friday evening with our friends the Nichols'. We had a cookout and some four wheeler riding and went hog hunting when it got dark. (The wild hogs are destoying the pastures at thier farm) The night hunt was really exciting for Jake and Josh; they worked the spotlights.
First we had some BB gun target practice.

I took Jake's 4 wheeler for a spin.
Jake showed us how to cut do-nuts.We found a group of about a dozen wild hogs and shot 2.

Lake Rayburn April 19

We had a great time at our friend Amy Huggins' lake house on rayburn last Saturday. It was a nice afternoon and we enjoyed some boating, fishing, washer pitching and a good ol' crawfish boil to celebrate Amy's birthday. (possibly the best crawfish I've ever had!) Also check out the beautiful sunset.

Jake & Madi's Spring Portraits

Here are some nice portraits of Jake and Madi that I made in our yard on Good Friday. I can't believe how grown-up they both look.

Easter Egg Hunt

Jake and his friend Madi had a great time at the Millard's Crossing Easter Egg Hunt. They hunted eggs with about 150 other kids and got to meet the Easter Bunny. Jake's basket held about 48 eggs.

Happy Easter

Here are some nice portraits of Jake and Floppy. Floppy was a gift from Meemaw last year and he is Jake's favorite pet. He lives in his cage in the back yard but loves to run and play around the yard when we are outside. Jake is the only one who can catch him when his "outside time" is over.

Extreme Red Wagon Riding!

Here are some pics and video from Sunday afternoon's extreme wagon riding. We were very impressed with the durability of the Little Tykes plastic wagon. Please do not try this at home, we are trained professionals.

Yes, That's Jake driving and Dad riding and sliding. Dad was very sore from several crashes that were not caught on video.

I love this clip of Jake riding. He's pulling some serious G's in the turns.

Here are some pics from playing in the mud out at Memaw and Grandaddy's. Jake's 4 wheeler is a Kazuma 90 & he can really ride it well!

Here's our new Family Blog

Today I decided to start a Bostian family blog to post photos of all our fun activities and cool stuff that Jake does. Hopefully I can talk Carol into updating it regularly. For the first few posts I just took some highlights from the past year. So, here they are.

We Love Sports

We may not be the best players, but we're great fans! We went to 2 Astros games with Jake's cousin, Matthew.
Carol and I went the Cowboys/Packers game. (Thanks Scott for the tickets)

Watching the Packers game at Hooters is almost as good as being at Lambeau Field.

Galveston Sept 07

We took a trip to Galveston for Jake's birthday and had a great time. Galveston is one of our favorite long weekend destinations. We've been 3 times this year. There's lots to do and we love staying at the Hotel Galvez on the seawall. Jake's favorite place is Schlitterbahn.

Playa Del Carmen June 07

Carol and I enjoyed our 4 day getaway to the Riu Palace Mexico, and can't wait to go back to Playa in May 08
